Bollywood has always been a male-dominated industry and we can see a huge difference in the pay of actors and actresses. Many times few people spoke about this demanded equal pay in Bollywood, but this couldn’t ever happen.
Now, Deepika Padukone seems to be the first actress who is going to fill this pay gap between the pay of male actors and female actors. According to Mumbai Mirror, Deepika Padukone is charging Rs. 12.67 crores for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati. If this is true, she will be the first Bollywood actress to cross the Rs. 10 crore barrier.
It is worth to note that she got Rs 1 crore for Ram Leela and for Bajirao Mastani it was Rs 7 crore.
Deepika Padukone is one of the leading actresses of Bollywood. We cannot doubt on her talent. Not just Bollywood, she is not set to make her presence in Hollywood with her debut movie with xXx: The Return of Xander Cage.
In 2015, Kangana Ranaut claimed to receive the highest fee among actresses but the amount was close to Rs 11 crores. Even if that figure was not verified, Deepika already managed to corss that.
